Townsend Oil & Propane delivers the finest of fuels and service possible offering the best prices in the area. This has been our heritage since 1922. All of our fossil fuels are supplied to us by several refining companies in both Rochester and Buffalo, NY. Our reputable suppliers include Exxon/Mobil and Sunoco. Millions of gallons of product are transported to us by means of transports for storage at our large facility in Leroy, NY. Our storage facility capacity is in excess of 150,000 gallons and is continually growing to meet our demands, assuring adequate supplies. Once at our facility, our excellent trained staff and well maintained Townsend fleet of delivery trucks make automatic delivery stops daily providing energy sources to area residents, farms, businesses and gas stations alike.

We currently serve twelve 12 area counties throughout Western N.Y. on a full time basis. Townsend offers a variety of fuel purchase plans. One popular option is to "Prebuy" fuel at off season rates at much lower prices for protection against sudden increases for the upcoming season. Customers automatically receive fuel without the bill.

Price Capping means ceiling prices during the course of the heating season. Customers in this program will either pay the cap price or less, nothing more during peak times.

Fixed Pricing allows customers to "Lock-In," meaning the price will not change throughout the heating season.

We do offer two types of delivery schedule - Automatic and Will-Call.

Automatic Delivery - This service prevents run outs. Our accurate computing delivery schedule is based on degree days. Our system notifies us when customers are in need of a delivery, in terms of 150-200 gallons of product. Therefor, never needing to call us when you need fuel. If a run out did occur, we will credit the customers account 50 gallons. No questions asked. Automatic delivery qualifies customers for special incentives such as "Price Capping" and "Lock-In" prices. This cost saving program offers total "Price Protection."

Will Call - Is the customers responsibility to keep an eye on their tank gauges, thus calling in for a delivery. Please allow 3 business days. Failure to do so will result in a premature delivery adding a $60 charge for overtime and to re-ignite the furnace. With this type of schedule, we cannot guarantee against run outs. There is no price cap and fixed pricing incentives. Customers are more opted to paying market price at time of delivery, in most cases the price is higher. Still, we will give our customer the best price at that time of delivery.

Budget Billing - Take the summer off! Our interest free monthly budget program runs August thru May, eliminating a June and July payment. Enrollment deadline is October 31st.
